Job Description: Responsible for providing practical RF Network field equipment expertise in the field for GSM/UMTS and or CDMA 1xEVDO technologies. Duties include the provision of technical support for the operation and maintenance of various RF Networks based on GSM/UMTS and also CDMA 1xEVDO network technologies. Technical support includes providing field expertise for the commissioning, integration and testing of Nokia GSM/UMTS and or Motorola CDMA 1xEVDO equipments during field deployment. Alarm identification and troubleshoot of Motorola SC4812 BTS Series and Nokia UMTS Flexi BTS equipment. Duties also include site inspection and quality audit of deployed RF network equipment, antenna setting verification using Andrew ATC2000 and RFS RET2022 software, T1 testing and troubleshooting and feeder sweep testing using Anritsu Analyzer; functional call testing of circuit and packet switch; SMS and Handover testing. RF Drive testing of deployed network to measure KPIs, investigate HO failures and Drop Call issues. This position requires nationwide travel to client locations. Three (3) openings available
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Telecommunications Engineering or related
field such as Electronics Engineering or Telecommunications Technology is
required. A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in RF Network
field engineering with emphasis on Nokia or Motorola based RF equipment or
in Optimization Engineering. Requires experience/knowledge in GSM/UMTS
and CDMA 1xEVDO technology platforms; 4G WiMAX network and
equipment experience is a plus. Antenna systems, use of various
telecommunications field test equipment such as TEMS, Protocol and Frequency
Analyzer, Agilent and HP field test sets, Anritsu Site Master and T1 tester.
